A Fine Dining Evening

A Fine Dining Evening was held on the 24th October 2015 at the East Kent Catering College.

For those who enjoy superb food, prepared and cooked to the highest standard and served at your table by dedicated students training at the college, this proved to be a most enjoyable and successful evening, which was organised this year by Holmesdale Lodge No.129.

The event was held at the Highly acclaimed East Kent Catering College in Broadstairs, who have trained a number of Celebrity Chefs, such as Garry Rhodes and Nathan Outlaw. The six delicious courses consisted of Goats Cheese and Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Smoked Haddock Fish Cake with Citrus Oil and Quail Egg, Lemon Thyme Sorbet, Supreme Guinea Fowl with Chive Mash, Poached Vegetables and Madeira Sauce and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Blackberry Compote finished off with Coffee and Petit Fours.

The Provincial Grand Master, the Deputy and two Assistant Provincial Grand masters were in attendance, a total of 54, with all monies raised going to support the Kent 2020 Festival. We are pleased to report that a sum of £700 was raised at this event, which assisted the Lodge in achieving its 2020 Target. It is planned to hold this event annually with a different Mark Lodge in Area 2 undertaking the planning and organisation.
