Following the Advancement of Bro Iain Radford the Provincial Charity Steward was then invited to receive a cheque for £1,600 from the Worshipful Master in aid of the 20:20 festival, the money being raised from several fundraising events held by the Lodge.

W.Bro Ian thanked the Worshipful Master and brethren on behalf the Provincial Grand Master and the Festival Fund Raising Committee and commended the brethren of the Lodge on the excellent work they were doing in support of the 20:20 Festival. He was also delighted to announce that the donation would take the lodge past the amount required to achieve the Silver 20:20 Festival Award and congratulated the brethren for their generosity and support of the Festival.

W.Bro Ian then outlined to the brethren the important work the Mark Benevolent Fund (MBF) is doing on their behalf, citing the ‘Hope for Tomorrow Charity’ and reminding the brethren that the MBF is committed to donating £2.6m to the project where the aim of the ‘Hope for Tomorrow Charity’ is to provide every county in England and Wales with a mobile chemotherapy unit.
