The Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Kent - Social Media Policy

In our digital age social media sites are an everyday method of communication.

They provide a variety ways in which to share information with a wide audience at the press of a button. As such they are an excellent tool for sharing information about our friendly Mark and Royal Ark Mariner degrees, yet having been taught to be cautious we should also be mindful that incorrect use can have a damaging impact not only on our public image, but that of Freemasonry in general.

Social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. are a key part of our overall communications strategy and as such everything that we and you do when engaging with each other and the wider world should look to:
  • Build a positive reputation for Mark and RAM Freemasonry in Kent
  • Help attract and retain quality members
  • Ensure the Province‚Äôs long term sustainable future
As Mark and RAM members we have to be Craft Masons first, therefore rather than duplicate a policy for the sake of it your attention is drawn to the thorough Social Media Policy & Guidelines of The United Grand Lodge of England.

Furthermore, our own Constitutions and Regulations open with:

"As a citizen every Mark Mason has a Duty to maintain and uphold the law of the land.
As a Mark Master Mason he also has a Duty to uphold the integrity and good repute of the Order"

There is no doubt that among Mark Master Masons you will ever find friends - and as such we would ask you to please mark well and act accordingly. Click here for a pdf version of this Social Media Policy.
