2020 Festival Date Change

As Arnold Palmer once said: “golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated”, and this simple game has caused a complication for the 2020 Festival Celebration Dinner, which was scheduled for Saturday 18th July 2020.

Due to a clash of dates with the Open Championship at Royal St. George’s Golf Club in Sandwich in 2020 we have, after much deliberation, decided to move the date to Saturday 13th June 2020.

The venue will still be same - the spectacular Maidstone Exhibition Hall, on the Kent Showground, in Detling.

The new date has been agreed with the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of England and Wales. We regret that this course of action has become necessary but trust you will understand that the decision was not taken lightly, but is simply to enable us to access sufficient suitable, and reasonably priced, local hotels.

The decision has been taken for the benefit of all those attending, and, especially, the many visitors who are expected to attend from around the country.

Please put this new date in your diaries now and join us for the 152nd Annual Festival for the Mark Benevolent Fund on what will undoubtedly be a super occasion, which will be remembered by everyone for many years to come. Especially, as the next time the Mark Province of Kent will be asked to host an MBF Festival is likely to be around 2055.
