Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Kent
Provincial Communications Manager Joins the Royal Ark Mariner Degree

As we all know, there are nine reasons to join the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner. No one is more aware of this than our Provincial Communications Officer, W.Bro Robin Evans. So it was, therefore, that, on 29 May, W.Bro Robin was elevated in St Peter’s Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 842.

In the presence of the Provincial Grand Master and a large delegation, Bro Robin was elevated by W.Bro Simon Barnes-Farnham in an excellent ceremony, ably assisted by others to a high standard. To celebrate the event, the Lodge presented the Provincial Grand Master with a cheque for £500 towards the 2020 Festival, demonstrating that the Royal Ark Mariner Degree is an important and thriving part of the Province. As can be deduced from the picture, a packed Festive Board followed.

Bro Robin observed after his elevation, “this beautiful Degree is open to all Mark Master Masons. I have been struck by the friendliness shown to me by everybody at my elevation. I would encourage all Mark Master Masons to make an advancement in their Masonic knowledge by joining the Royal Ark Mariner Degree”.

If you are looking for a Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, then please ask any member in your Mark Lodge or contact any member of the Executive, all of whom will be more than happy to help you. Don’t miss out on this ancient and important Degree in Freemasonry!

All in all, this was another example of Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Masonry in Kent being second to none.
