MBF Donation To Lifelites

The Lifelites charity gives life-limited and disabled children in hospices opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have through the magic of technology.

They do this by donating specialist assistive technology packages for these children and young people to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate, for as long as it is possible. To date the charity has been able to do this for more than 10,000 children at every baby and children's hospice across the British Isles.

MBF Donation To Lifelites

As a Trustee of the Mark Benevolent Fund, our Provincial Grand Master RW. Bro. Archie Torrance recently joined Darren Coleman-Heald, MBF Charities Manager, to present a cheque for £141,423 to Simone Enefer-Doy, Chief Executive of Lifelites, for the purchase of special Tech Trunks which are being provided to fifteen Children’s Hospices across England and Wales.

Commenting afterwards Archie said, "It was both a pleasure and most humbling to know that the donations of Mark Master Masons have made this possible. Their generous contributions will make a huge difference to the lives of seriously ill children by providing a wide range of assistive and sensory technology including virtual reality kit, computers and tablets, Eyegaze, Mobile Magic Carpet, Beamz Music and Go Pro cameras."

Following on from the support of St John Ambulance and The National Association of Blood Bikes, this donation to Lifelites is a further excellent example of how the MBF's national programmes make a positive difference at a provincial level.
