Kent Mark Benevolent Fund Trustee Vacancy

The Kent Mark Benevolent Fund (KMBF) has a vacancy for a trustee to join its Board.

Kent Mark Benevolent Fund Trustee Vacancy

The KMBF's governing document states its purpose as:

"Relief of poor and distressed brother masons or their poor and distressed widows and children, or for the benefit of masonic charities or other charitable institutions, societies or objects"
To assist interested parties the Charity Commission has published the duties expected of a Trustee on the Gov.uk website, which explains the key obligations of all trustees of charities in England and Wales, and what they need to do to carry out these duties competently.

The main responsibilities are to:
  • Ensure the KMBF is carrying out its purpose for the public benefit.
  • Comply with the KMBF's governing document and the law.
  • Act in the KMBF's best interest.
  • Manage the KMBF's resources responsibly.
  • Act with reasonable care and skill.
  • Ensure the KMBF is accountable.
If you would like to express an interest in becoming a trustee please email a brief outline CV, which should include any specific skills or experience that you think will benefit the KMBF, to sec@kentmarkmastermasons.org.uk.

Once a shortlist of applicants has been established, the successful candidates will be invited to an interview with W.Bro. Perri Ahmet, Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Chair of The Kent Mark Benevolent Fund, where the role can be discussed in more depth.
