âHaving been passed the baton last year, on Saturday 13th October the Thanet Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 1073 hosted our third annual fine dining evening at The Yarrow Hotel in Broadstairs.
More than 85 guests, including members of the Executive and their wives, attended this terrific occasion in support of our 2020 Festival for the Mark Benevolent Fund.
A brilliant evening of good food, fine wine, excellent service and wonderful company in superb surroundings was had by all.
RW. Bro. Archie Torrance expressed his “Grateful thanks to all the members of Thanet Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 1073 for hosting the event; especially organisers W. Bro. Nic Baker and his wife Julie, and W. Bro. John Lacey who acted as Master of Ceremonies on the evening, for all their hard work”.
Not only did the evening raise a wonderful £1000 for the Festival, but the the Thanet R.A.M. Lodge will be voting on a proposition at their next meeting to donate a further £1,500 to the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund in support of the 2020 Festival.
