On the afternoon of Sunday 28th July the Tovil Masonic Centre played host to a memorable event, the annual and ever-popular Kent Mark Family Lunch.
Presided over by R.W.Bro. Peter Williams, Provincial Grand Master, over 100 brethren, family members, and friends gathered to celebrate camaraderie, and good food at Tovil’s Cornwallis Suite.
The menu, reminiscent of home-cooked meals, delighted everyone’s taste buds. From hearty mains to delectable desserts, the culinary team at Tovil Masonic Centre exceeded expectations. The waiting staff, with their friendly demeanor, ensured that guests felt welcome and attended to.
The raffle, fueled by generous donations, all participating enthusiastically, raised an impressive £690 for the important work of the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund.
Commenting afterwards Alan Short, KMBF Trustee/Secretary, said “The lunch went very well. The atmosphere was good and the food was super. (Un)Fortunately having to tear up so many raffle tickets meant there was no time for seconds! Thank you to the 100 plus who were in attendance and an even bigger thank you for the magnificent sum raised for the KMBF. Thankfully received and to be faithfully applied.”
Special thanks to Phil Clare for organising the day and to Ian Gallehawk for capturing the essence of the day through his delightful photographs.
In summary, the Kent Mark Family Lunch was a resounding success—a testament to the spirit of fellowship within the Masonic community. Well done to all involved!
