Dear Brethren,
I want to take the opportunity to update you all on the plans for this year’s Provincial Grand Lodge meeting.
The event will be on Saturday 24th September 2022, and it will be held at the Kent County Showground, near Detling, Maidstone.
It is hoped that this central location will enable more of our members from all over Kent to more easily attend what is our premier annual event for the Province.
The format will be broadly as in previous years, starting with a mid-morning meeting, where all recipients of Mark Provincial Grand Rank Appointments and Promotions, along with any newly Advanced brethren will be invested and greeted by the Provincial Grand Master and the Executive.
In addition, this year there will be one change to the standard format, all recipients of Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank Promotions, and any newly Elevated brethren will also be invested and greeted by the Provincial Grand Master and the Executive.
It is hoped that this combined event will bring benefits to those attending, and make the entire day a happy and wonderful occasion remembered by all.
This will be followed by lunch.
This also means that the Annual Provincial Grand Assembly Meeting, previously held under the auspices of the Kent Installed Commanders Lodge will not take place.
Please save the date in your diary, further details will be shared in the early summer and booking forms will be circulated to all members of the Province in late July.
