Hosted by W.Bro. Perri Ahmet, P.Dep.Prov.G.M., members of the Mark Province of Kent enjoyed a few days in Cyprus to attend the Installation Meeting of Buffavento Lodge No. 9996 which meets in Nicosia, the capital, under the auspices of United Grand Lodge of England – District of Cyprus.
In the presence of the Assistant District Grand Master, Tony Gross, a full district team and the party from Kent, Muhsin Hadioglu Installed Nezat Barcin as Worshipful Master.
As well as attending the meeting, Perri dipped in to his extensive local knowledge and treated the party to a personal guided tour, spread over two days, of the area including visits to Nicosia Old Town, Kantara Castle and Bellapais Abbey.
To end the trip in style, an evening in a local taverna was organised, where all involved had an amazing time tasting local cuisine, wines and spirits.
