Before the Installation Meeting of Margate’s Thanet Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No.1073 on Thursday 20th April, cheques totaling almost £1000 were presented to Thanet Lifeguard Club by representatives of four local different Masonic units.
Thanet Lifeguard Club is part of The Royal Life Saving Society UK, who share important expertise in water safety, lifesaving, and lifeguarding to educate everyone to enjoy water safely.
Vicki Wilkinson and Joanne Willson, who are both volunteer Instructors at the Thanet Lifeguard Club, received cheques with gratitude from:
Jim Greenfield of Thanet R.A.M. Lodge No.1073 for £400*
Vic Voss of Alfred Wootton Chapter No.127 for £100.
Michael Hearn of Union Lodge No.127 for £200
Phil Fisher of Minnis Bay Chapter No.8496 for £250.
Also present, in his capacity of the Provincial Grand Master’s Representative for the Thanet R.A.M. Installation, was our Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Martyn Summers.
*A £200 donation from the Lodge was match-funded by the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund.
