Dear Brethren,
It has been the highlight of my Masonic career to be Provincial Grand Master for the Mark
Province of Kent. It is a wonderful province, full of wonderful people who have made my
time as Provincial Grand Master very special indeed.
As I near the end of my eighth year as Provincial Grand Master, I have decided that the time
is right to step aside to allow someone else to build upon what I have achieved and to take
the province forward. I therefore wish to announce that I shall retire as Provincial Grand
Master at midnight on Thursday 23rd September 2021, the day before the annual meeting
of Provincial Grand Lodge.
May I take this opportunity to thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart for your
kindness and support over the last eight years. I shall never forget what it was like to lead
this province and I shall remember my time as Provincial Grand Master with great fondness.
I am pleased to inform you that my successor will be V.W.Bro. Peter David Williams,
P.G.M.O. P.Dep.Prov.G.M., who is very well known to you. I wish Peter every success in his
new role. I know you will give him the same level of support that you have given to me.
I assure you that I shall watch with interest as the Mark Province of Kent goes from strength
to strength. My sincere best wishes to you all for the future.
