Tuesday 20th February saw a very special meeting for Paddock Wood’s Robinson Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No.255.

This was their Centenary Meeting, and the Lodge was honoured to receive the Assistant Grand Master R.W.Bro. Prof. Denovan Keith Wilson, Escorted by W.Bro. Gary Allen. Whilst from our own Province of Kent the Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro Peter Williams, was accompanied by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master W.Bro. Martyn Summers and Assistant Provincial Grand Masters W.Bro. Trevor Sharpe and W.Bro. Steve Hyland.

As can be seen below, a large Provincial Escort and other distinguished guests, were also in attendance to witness and support this very special occasion in the Lodge’s long history.

The Worshipful Commander gave a wonderful presentation on the history of the Robinson Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners, which was very well received by all in attendance.

The Assistant Grand Master R.W.Bro. Prof. Denovan Keith Wilson presented the Centenary warrant to the Worshipful Commander W.Bro. Chris Metherell, who was delighted to receive it on behalf of the Lodge and all its members.

Following on from the proceedings in the temple, the Brethren retired for an excellent festive board, where over 45 were gathered to celebrate this wonderful milestone in the history of the Robinson Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners.

The Robinson Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No. 255 had its Warrant issued on 27 th March 1923, and meets at the Masonic Hall, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood on the Third Tuesday in February, May and November. Installation is held on Third Tuesday in May.
