Tuesday 22nd September saw V.W. Bros. Fred Brown and David Green pay a happy visit to Mrs Deanne Meeres to present her with a Ladies Grand Patron Diamond Award from the Mark Benevolent Fund.
The award was achieved as a result of a very generous legacy of Masonic and personal items bequeathed by her late husband, W. Bro. Brian Meeres, in favour of the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund (KMBF).
Brian who was very well known around the Province will also be remembered as our Provincial Grand Tyler for many years. The legacy comprising a vast collection of masonic regalia and paraphernalia, a garage and a classic car has been used to not only support the MBF 2020 Festival but also to give a kick-start to the post-Festival work of the KMBF.
Mrs Deanne Meeres said the Mark degree was always very close to Brian’s heart and was his favourite degree. For sure, Brian will be very flattered and happy at this award to Deanne.
