1.
I was born and bred in Welling in the north-east of the Province, attending the nearby Bexley Grammar School.

2.
On leaving school at 18 I served in the Metropolitan Police before a career in Sales and Marketing, ultimately forming my own Limited Company some 20+ years ago.  I also lectured Part Time for seventeen years in Sales and Marketing at what was then called Croydon Technical College.

3.
A keen horseman, my earliest memory of riding horses was when I was four and a half years old and I have been riding horses ever since; my wife and I both have horses at home in the south-east of the Province.  A spell exercising Point to Point racehorses was a most exciting (and dangerous) time.  I am a qualified BHA Point to Point Steward and officiate all over the South East.

4.
I am a long-time motorcyclist and an active member and officer of the Widows Sons East Kent.

5.
Music is also a big part of my life.  I am a member of both the East Kent Provincial Choir and the Masonic Organists Association.
