In keeping with their maritime heritage and fine dining ethos, the Greenwich Mark Lodge No. 332 recently held a Trafalgar Night Dinner at the renowned Chapter One Restaurant in Locksbottom, just outside Orpington.

Organised by W. Bro. Perri Ahmet, and under the excellent helmsmanship of Toastmaster W. Bro. Mark Sid Elphick, the black tie evening was launched in traditional style with champagne followed by mussel and chorizo risotto, a hand carved baron of beef, a ships of the line chocolate dessert and a cheese station. All of which were accompanied by carefully selected wines and port.

Aside from the wonderful fayre and usual friendly Mark company, the highlight of the evening came from VW. Bro. Dr. Nigel Scott-Moncrieff, who gave a superb Toast to the Immortal Memory of Admiral Viscount Nelson.

As you can see from the photographs above, the crew are already looking forward to next year’s event.
