As part of the Mark Province of Kent ‘s response to the coronavirus
pandemic, I am very pleased to announce the launch of a Provincial Grand
Master ‘s Discretionary Fund with immediate effect.

This hardship fund provides an additional avenue of support for members who find themselves in financial difficulty due to the current lockdown. It is another measure intended to provide quick relief in these extraordinary times and it sits alongside the support already available from the Mark Benevolent Fund and the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund.

The PGM ‘s Discretionary Fund has been resourced by a generous emergency grant of £5,000 from the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund, the diverting of fees of honour for appointments and promotions in Provincial grand rank and savings realised from a reduced print run of Kent Masonic Yearbooks 2021. Other options for increasing funds will also be explored if necessary.

Should any member find himself facing financial hardship he should speak immediately to his Lodge Almoner or to the Provincial Grand Secretary, W. Bro. David Stiff, who will liaise with the Provincial Grand Almoner, W. Bro. Peter Hayler. Alternatively, a member may contact any member of the Provincial Executive.

Yours aye,

Archie
R.W. Bro. Archibald I. Torrance
