The Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Tony Poynter and his lady Teresa were delighted to welcome 50 guests to the Masonic Centre at North Street in Ashford for the Invicta Mark Lodge Ladies Supper. This event had been planned for several months and Tony being Tony was not likely to let a near death experience stop him from hosting the event with his lady Teresa. In truth it was a real pleasure for all of Tonyâs friends and the rest of the guests to see him in such good form after his recent spell in hospital.
The evening started with a champagne reception followed by a 4 course meal washed down with an ample supply of wine which was enjoyed by everyone. Tony then proposed a wonderful toast to the ladies before presenting his own lovely lady Teresa with a wonderful piece of jewellery as a memento of the occasion. Teresa responded with a heartfelt response on behalf of the ladies which was well received by everybody.
At the end of the evening Tony thanked everyone on behalf of himself and his lady for attending this occasion and announced that a sum of £250 from the money raised during the evening would go to the 20:20 Festival in respect of the Invicta Mark Lodge 378 with a further sum going to the Pilgrims Hospice.
