Friday March 1st 2019 saw the annual Installation Meeting of Kent Installed Commandersâ Lodge No 999, at the Sheerness Masonic Centre.
This was something very special about this meeting as W. Bro. Peter Wise, RAMGR, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master and the Founding Assistant Scribe of the Lodge was installed as Commander in an excellent manner by the outgoing Commander, W. Bro. David Miller, RAMGR.
As is traditional in this Lodge, the Commander delivers an inaugural address. On this occasion, the Lodge was treated to one of âWiseyâs Wafflesâ. The only complaint was that W. Bro. Peter was limited by time and everyone was left wanting to hear more.
To round the meeting off, the RW Provincial Grand Master was presented with donations totalling £1,250 towards the 2020 Festival. £750 from the Lodge, £200 to commemorate W. Bro. Davidâs year as Commander and a further £300 following the sale of items bequeathed to the Province by the late and much missed W. Bro. Brian Meeres.
As you would expect from this very special Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, a the evening was rounded off by an excellent festive board.
