The first Saturday in November is one of the landmark dates in the Provincial calendar when, at the Maidstone Masonic Centre in Tovil, Kent Installed Mark Masters Lodge holds its Installation Meeting.

Kent Installed Mark Masters Lodge (KIMM) was the first such lodge to be formed under the English Constitution and therefore probably in the world. It was formed in 1944 and today enjoys a membership of more than 175 brethren.

R.W.Bro. Peter Williams – Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. David Barden – Worshipful Master along with the officers of the year.

With the largest membership in the Province, Mastership of the Lodge is a rare privilege. The honour this year falls to W.Bro. David Barden P.A.G.D.C., R.A.M.G.R., who was Installed by his predecessor W.Bro. Nigel Cash P.G.St.B., , R.A.M.G.R..

Active in more than ten Masonic Orders, David is well known to many across the Province. As well as being the Lodge Almoner since 2018, he was the Provincial Grand Almoner from 2015 to 2019 and is the driving force behind the Province’s Second Hand Regalia Exchange scheme.

KIMM membership is available to Installed or Past Masters of any Mark Lodge in our Constitution and who is also a subscribing member of another Kent Mark Lodge.

The Lodge meets twice a year in the morning on the first Saturday in November (Installation) and on the fourth Saturday in June. The meeting venue is purposely rotated around the Kent Province to make travel arrangements fairer to such a large membership.
