W. Bro. Tom Weaver of Sidcup’s Royal Oak Mark No. 416, together with business partner Mr Mark Addy, has been producing full face acrylic masks on a laser cutter in a warehouse in nearby Northfleet.
These masks are being distributed, free of charge, to front line care workers in hospitals, hospices and care homes as you can see above. At the time of writing, some 2,000 masks have been produced.
To assist with the cost of materials and manufacture, the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund made an exceptional grant of £500 to to ensure that this vital, lifesaving work can continue.
There is no doubt that many front line workers will be much safer as a result of this project and the Mark Province of Kent is very proud to have played its part in this critical work.
