Kent Mark Benevolent Fund (KMBF) Chair, Fred Brown, visited the RMBI care home in Chislehurst, Prince George Duke of Kent Court, to support the opening of a new stairlift access to the home’s sensory garden.

Prince George Duke of Kent Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support for up to 73 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.

Fred represented the KMBF at the event where, along with the East and West Kent Craft Provincial Grand Masters, the home’s new stairlift and sensory garden was officially opened.

Fred commented: “It is an amazing piece of kit, which converts from a traditional flight of stairs to a fully operational lift at the touch of a button.”

The stairlift was built by a Finnish company for just over £20,000 of which the KMBF contributed the final £1000 after our two Craft Provinces and the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) contributed the rest.
