The Province was well represented with three teams entering the London Mark Charity Golf Day at Chobham Golf Club, Knaphill, Surrey on Thursday September 7th.

We are delighted to announce that the winning team, with a combined stableford score of 122 points [best 3 scores per hole from a team of 4 players], was ‘Torrance’s Mixture’ consisting of Jack Flint, Jamie Flint, John Maxfield and Archie Torrance.

In addition to this, the Men’s Overall Winner was Jamie Flint who lifted the ‘PGM’s Trophy’ on count back, with 41 stableford points.

The Kent team continued their successful day with Keith Stoner winning nearest the pin and Viv Stoner winning the ladies longest drive competitions.

All the prizes were presented by Mrs. Vanda Ashbolt, and the Pro Grand Master, MW Bro. Ray Smith, whose presence made the occasion all the more special.

It was a wonderful day for the Mark Province of Kent, which just kept getting better and better, when in recognition of the support given by the Province, RW Bro. David Ashbolt PGM Mark Province of London, presented our PGM, RW Bro. Archie Torrance, with a cheque for £750 towards the Kent Mark 2020 Festival for the Mark Benevolent Fund. A most generous gesture that is very much appreciated.

Our PGM expressed his “Sincere thanks to the PGM, RW Bro. David Ashbolt, and the organiser, W Bro. Alan Wakeford MBE, for their wonderful generosity and hospitality.” He also expressed his gratitude to all those who represented the Mark Province of Kent, namely Keith and Viv Stoner, Gerry and Shirley Miller, Jack Flint, Jamie Flint, John Maxfield, Terry Hall, Adrian Wagstaff and Vic Hollister.
