Despite its hopeful postponement, London Marathon training continues apace for Folkestone’s W. Bro Jon Meyer.

Sadly, along with a great number of other events this year’s London Marathon, scheduled to take place 26th April was cancelled. Undeterred by this cancellation W. Bro Jon has continued to train in the hope that the rescheduled date of 4th October will go ahead. A large part of Jon’s motivation to continue training comes from the amazing support he has received from the individuals and lodges in the Province who have sponsored him. The total sponsorship money from lodges now stands at a fabulous £2,650 all of which will be added to our 2020 Festival total in aid of the Mark Benevolent Fund.

As part of his busy training schedule Jon has added a new twist to his routine by running what appears to be very erratically around Radnor Park in Folkestone. He is in fact creating a new form of art by running amusing animal shapes. These shapes have been recorded by the Strava App which he uses. to track his performance.

We wish Jon well with his training for the 2020 Marathon and look forward to seeing more of this unique art being created.

It is still not too late to Sponsor Jon via his Virgin Money Giving page.
