We are delighted to share with you the Mark Benevolent Fund (MBF) Annual Review for 2022.
It has been another wonderful year at the MBF as they continue to assist those less fortunate than ourselves.
In 2022 over one million pounds has helped improve the standard of living for many charities, families and individuals that apply to the fund for assistance. We are certain that the founder of the charity, M.W.Bro. Canon Portal would be most proud.
Fund activity during the year has included the following grants:
£25,000 – Cancer Care
£139,800 – Healthcare
£160,780 – Disability Support Services
£51,257 – Hospice Movement
£148,186 – Secondary Emergency Services
£190,451 – Local Community Focus
£102,438 – Youth Sector
£255,000 – Humanitarian Aid
£35,388 – Our own members and their families
As ever please keep a lookout for your fellow Brethren, charities and other worthy causes that may need a helping hand and contact our Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Phil Clare or Provincial Grand Almoner, Peter Hayler for details on how to make an application. Their details can be found on page 16 of the Kent Masonic Yearbook.
