As we all know, the Mark Benevolent Fund (MBF) has carved out a deserved reputation for disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others, giving an average of over £206,000 each year for the last one hundred and fifty-two years to individuals in need and worthy causes which benefit the wider community.
After the calling-off of Mark Grand Lodge on Tuesday 10th March, The MBF Grand Parade was warmly welcomed which included representatives of the Lifelites charity and their beneficiary hospices who have benefitted from the grant of £141,423 made to Lifelites in 2019.
The MBF have been delighted to work closely with the team at Lifelites, helping them in their mission to bring the hospice into the home and to provide cutting edge technology with the provision of the purchase of special Tech Trunk assistive technology packages. Regular readers will recall that our Provincial Grand Master, R. W. Bro. Archie Torrance accompanied, by Darren Coleman-Heald, MBF Charities Manager, recently visited Ellenor Hospice in Gravesend to present them with a cheque for £21,012 on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund for this very purpose.
