As you will be aware, the 2020 Festival has now come to an end, over the course of which many of you demonstrated your support by purchasing the Kent Festival tie.
This tie became very popular at Lodge, Provincial and Grand Lodge meetings; so much so that it became commonplace to see most, if not all, members wearing it. As you know, different Mark Provinces proudly wear their own ties and ours has quite rightly become iconic and synonymous with Kent.
Now that the Festival has ended it has been decided that we should retain the iconic design of the tie, albeit with the now historical 2020 logo replaced with the Provincial crest. The Provincial Grand Master has now designated this tie as being the official Provincial tie, in both Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges.
As the above is now the only official Provincial tie, it is requested that the Festival tie and the older, black ties be regarded as historical items and are no longer presented to new candidates as Provincial ties. Given the tremendous commitment that our members have always shown to the Province, it is hoped that the new tie will soon be proudly worn by all of our members.
There is, of course, a financial consideration and given current circumstances, every effort has been made to purchase the new ties such that we can sell them to members at the lowest possible price.
