During the Festive Board of September’s meeting of The Kent Mark Stewards Lodge, Lodge member Bro. Nick Alder presented the Provincial Grand Master and Master Elect, RW. Bro. Archie Torrance, with a “down-payment” cheque of £1200 towards the 2020 Festival from the Kent Division of The Red Cross of Constantine, or to give it its full title; The Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine and the Orders of the Holy Sepulchre and of St. John the Evangelist!
Bro. Nick is also R. Ill. Kt. Nicholas John Alder, Intendant-General For the Division of Kent and as the Head of the Order and its sixteen Conclaves in the county he invited its members to show their support for our 2020 Festival for the MBF.
Being an accountant by profession, Bro. Nick explained that he was not one for keeping funds tucked away in bank accounts where they could not fulfill their purpose and thus presented the down-payment with the generous promise of a further donation at the Red Cross of Constantine’s Annual District Meeting in March 2020.
Upon receiving the latest contribution to the Festival, RW. Bro. Archie reiterated his gratitude for “The brilliant support from the other Orders in Kent; it is clear that there are excellent working relationships between the different Orders here in the county, which are based on friendship, mutual understanding and respect”.
