Dear Brethren,

Following the latest announcement from the Government earlier this week and the notification from GLMMM earlier today removing all impediments to face to face meetings, my senior executive and I have decided to lift the Local Suspension of masonic activities in Kent with effect from the 19th July 2021.

It remains our overriding desire to protect the welfare of our members as far as possible, and with that in mind the importance of both caution and personal responsibility cannot be too highly emphasised.

The lifting of restrictions and the resumption of face to face meetings will be welcomed by many, but it is vital to understand that there will be some who may feel apprehensive or concerned about the prospect of meeting again. The choice to attend meetings is a personal one and no individual should be pressurised into doing so. Likewise the use of masks and sanitizer are a personal choice
that everyone is entitled to make. Some centres might wish to have local requirements in place and it is important to follow these at all times.

If you have any questions regarding what this means for you or your Lodge, please contact the Provincial Grand Secretary for further advice. I would also like to remind units that they can still utilise Virtual Business Meetings should they wish to do so.

We have come though this pandemic together and it is important that we continue to work together to ensure that everyone’s wishes are accommodated where practicable as we restart our activities in earnest.

Yours aye,
R.W.Bro. Archibald I. Torrance
Provincial Grand Master
