Following the success of last year’s Virtual London Marathon, the organisers are planning to hold a similar event this year to coincide with the actual London Marathon.

In total 100,000 places have been allocated (50,000 actual and 50,000 virtual) making it the largest ever Marathon race.

The format for running a virtual Marathon is simple. The runner chooses their own 26.2 mile route and the time at which they wish to run. Their progress is tracked by an App which is downloaded onto their phone. Those completing the virtual Marathon will be recognised in the same way as if they had run the actual Marathon.

The Kent Mark Benevolent Fund (KMBF) has been able to secure 3 places for this year’s Virtual Marathon, scheduled to take place on Sunday 3rd October.

If you would like to be considered for one of the places, and in turn support our KMBF by raising sponsorship, please complete the details below.

Places are being offered to any of our members or their friends or family. In the event of places being oversubscribed a ballot will be held to determine the lucky winners.

Collection of sponsorship money couldn’t be easier as we already have a Virgin Money Giving Page set up for fundraising. This allows for gift aid (where applicable) to be applied. It’s simple to use and we have experts available to talk you through it.

To register your interest simply complete the details in this email to W.Bro. Brian Ward.
Good luck and thank you for supporting our KMBF.
