On Thursday 9 February 2017, Erdemont Mark Lodge 1894 was delighted to receive the RW Provincial Grand Master as another member of Rivermead Craft Lodge joined the ranks of Erdemont Mark. This time, it was Bro Philip Tadd, who can be seen pictured centre with the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Archie Torrance, to the left and the Worshipful Master, WBro Alan Sanford, to the right. An excellent time was had by all and Bro Phil was very pleased at taking his fourth regular step in Freemasonry.
As if this were not enough for the Mark meeting, RW Bro Archie Torrance then presented the Lodge with the 2020 Festival Silver Award to acknowledge its contribution so far. The Lodge has vowed to continue supporting the 2020 Festival and aims to attain higher honours yet. RW Bro Archie can be seen pictured left presenting the certificate to the Worshipful Master, WBro Alan Sanford.
The main event of the day then followed. This was a very special day for Erdemont Royal Ark Mariner Lodge 1894 as its new banner was consecrated by the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Archie Torrance, together with a full retinue of his officers.
Once again, Mrs Janet Stiff had worked her magical skills and produced a banner for the Lodge, which left everyone in awe of her ability. Such a work of art deserves the best of dedications and those present were not disappointed as RW Bro Archie Torrance dedicated the banner with his standard, consummate ease in a ceremony that will long be remembered by all present.
The evening could not have been allowed to end without a picture being taken for Lodge and Provincial history.
