We are proud and delighted to announce that one of the few opportunities to attend this year’s prestigious Canon Portal Lecture will take place in Kent later this month, on Saturday 24th June.

The lecture entitled ‘The First Royal Mark Mason’ is an account of the life and masonic career of Prince Leopold and will be delivered by V.W.Bro. Dr Rod G. Taylor, P.G.J.O., Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master of West Yorkshire.

Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany

The lecture, attendance at which is open to all Mark Master Masons, is being hosted by Kent Installed Mark Masters’ Lodge No.999 at Maidstone Masonic Centre, Tovil on Saturday 24th June 2023 at 11.00am.

Although Tovil is one of our largest centres space, especially within the Temple, is still finite so early booking is recommended to ensure your attendance.

This esteemed lecture is named after the Reverend George Raymond Portal, who was Grand Master from 1869-1873 and the driving force behind the formation of the Mark Benevolent Fund, in 1868.
