At the meeting of Ramsgate’s Holmesdale Lodge of Mark Master Masons on Wednesday 19th January, W.Bro. Tony Taylor P.A.G.D.C. celebrated 60 years (and two days) of Mark Masonry in the presence of the full Provincial Executive of R.W.Bro. Peter Williams, W.Bro. Perri Ahmet, W.Bro. David Stiff and W.Bro. Martyn Summers.

W.Bro. Tony, the Lodge’s sesquicentennial Master, was Advanced into the Lodge on 17th January 1962, when Emile Ford and the Checkmates were at No.1 in the charts with “What Do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me For?”.

Tony Taylor celebrates 60 years of Mark Masonry

Although Tony is Worshipful Master, when he customarily offered the gavel to R.W.Bro. Peter he accepted it with pleasure and conducted almost the whole meeting, allowing Tony a very well deserved night off. He only returned the gavel to Tony in order that he could present him with his certificate from Mark Masons’ Hall marking his 60 years in the order, (above).
