âW. Bro. Phil Clare PPGJW of Bromley’s Mandalay Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1886 is organising a cycling tour around the WW1 battlefields in the spring 2019.
Day 1: Drive to Ypres followed by a 35 mile ride round some of the great battlefield sites.
Day 2: Cycle to Vimy Ridge & back, which is about 90 very flat miles. In the evening there will be a visit to the Menin Gate for the moving last post ceremony followed by a meal.
Day 3: Travel home.
Costs will be kept to a minimum and will be dependent upon numbers.
As well as being an informative, sociable and memorable few days, it is hoped that each participant will raise a sum of money for the Royal British Legion.
