Barely a year on from being recognised for marking half a century af being a Mark Master Mason, W.Bro. Graham Smith celebrated 50 years membership of the Ancient & Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner.

W.Bro. Graham was Advanced in Adam’s Lodge on 10th January 1973 and Elevated in its moored Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners on 13th March 1974 – just a week after the lifting of the restrictions of the “Three Day Week”. He became Worshipful Commander in of the Lodge in 1983.

At the meeting of Adam’s Lodge on Wednesday 10th April the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro. Martyn Brian Summers, attended with a large escort of Provincial Grand Lodge officers to present Graham with his certificate in recognition and celebration of 50 years continued service to this beautiful Order.

Commenting afterwards, Martyn told us “It was a great evening it was an absolute pleasure to be there on behalf of the Prov.GM. to present Graham with his 50 year certificate, as well as witness the Elevation of a new member Matt. Well done to the whole team at Adams R.A.M. Lodge.”

A distinguished Freemason, Graham is member of more than 10 Companion Orders most of which are administered from Mark Masons’ Hall, holding Grand Rank or equivalent in most. Here are just the highlights of his time within the Ancient & Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner.
